Kids today don't know how to count back change. No register to do it for them means the wrong change and a long delay in the line with them trying to figure out what to do!
Back to the $2 bills, even if acceptable, there's no slot in the register draw for them, so maybe shouldn't be accepted anyway. Besides, why would anybody want to spend them--they're worth a lot more as sentimental pieces for collection. I have a bunch that I won't spend for that reason, including three uncirculated ones in serial number sequence that I got a while ago when recycling some bottles and cans (had a thread on DSLR about it). I've also got a whole bunch more in my misplaced briefcase, including my $100,000,000,000,000 Zimbabwe bill. I was going to send it to Biden, telling him to pay off the national debt with it and send me the $65 trillion or so change, of course allowing him to keep a trillion or two dollar processing fee.
