Anyone getting higher uploads in Toronto yet?

I have not seen anyone reporting that they are getting higher upload speeds, it seems the project may be stalled?

My Rogers Xfinity speeds this morning were 949.55 Mbps down & 54.85 Mbps Up (Ping 11 ms). That’s about the best it’s ever been for my Desktop PC tests.

Upload speeds for me have typically been in the 50+ Mbps range for the most part (occasionally dipped down to 30 Mbps range) since May 2023. 2022 and earlier were typically in the 30 Mbps range when Rogers downgraded from original 50+ Mbps range when they discovered their service couldn’t reliably sustain the higher upload speed.

Higher than 50 up, they were working on 150 up.

I have seen it around the danforth area in Toronto up to 150-200ish, however in most places it seems like 50 including my downtown east area in Toronto.

I have tested Rogers upload speeds several times with ookla speed tests and they routinely remain less than 100 but my Fibe upload speed is at least equal to or more than my download speed on Bell. What is wrong with Rogers?

We got an email saying upgrades has been done in our neighbourhood. I rebooted the modem to find…..nothing. No upload increase.

It’s common for modems to display the symbol rate like that, so it’s not because it’s doing nothing. It’s a small channel in the low-split band though, so not overwhelming exciting 🙂 is it new?

Rogers was promoting at my dad’s place in Markham just at Steeles and Brimley. My dad signed up for 1.5gbps/250mbps package since it was the cheapest offering. They sent the XB8 modem and he is getting the 250mbps upload (235mbps tested speed).

To re-visit this. Anyone else get faster speeds? I am still stuck on 50 up 🙁

Not sure about TO but my 2011 neighborhood in London just finally got one upstream OFDMA channel. They still haven’t increased upload offerings but its a step in the right direction. I’m still wondering why I haven’t seen the second downstream OFDMA channel but I also haven’t seen them doing any node work either.
