Spartacus was a significant part of the third servile war 71 BC. However, there were two more servile wars starting in 135 BC. That could be fertile ground for a new series in the franchise. Fair point that it would be covering ground already covered and no one likely has the gravitas of Spartacus or gladiatory infamy but there has to be something there that they could work with,…..
Hannibal of Carthage would have been a great option too.
