It’s the weekend! Today is going to be a scorcher. I mowed my lawn yesterday to avoid the heat. So far, so good, on my cataract surgery lens replacement. My property is in a wooded area. The deer are back and feeding on seeds that fall out of my bird feeder. It’s right by my kitchen window, but they’re used to seeing me and are not scared. I want to keep them away because they also eat the plants that they shouldn’t. Firearms are not appropriate here due to legal reasons and small children in the area. So far, chasing them away is working.

You’re not one of those “candy corn” houses on Halloween are you?

I guess about 2 years ago, after Christmas, the wife was in a depressed mood taking down the tree.

I was also, because it’s artificial and it get’s heavier every year.

So, I said just leave it up and decorate it for the current holiday.
We did and it’s worked out great. Now, we just have a lot more decorations but they are lighter than the tree and the wife does most of it. 😉
