How come nobody does pop instrumentals like Feels So Good anymore? I miss them. Lyrics are overrated. I think Kenny G was the last to do that with Songbird. Well, according to the list I linked to below, he was the last one before the 90’s, which is the era I’m talking about anyway. There’s only 4 after him on the list anyway. So in 27 years, 96 songs, and 4 in 38 years since. 2 of those 4 were made by someone on the list from the first 27 years and the only one from this century was by one of those two, and that was 20 years ago. More evidence that music, and Western culture in general, is dieing, if it’s not already dead. How come there are no songs on the list from the 50’s?
There’s Green Onions, Classical Gas, Musicbox Dancer, Love Is Blue, Charoits Of Fire. Here’s a list of the top 100(according to somebody) pop instrumentals: https://tunecaster.com/special/most-popular/instrumentals.html
Edit: Oh, ok. They’re ranked by their position on the music charts.
