hex0101 Interestingly enough, part of the image I cropped, contains the AT&T Fiber cable hanging just below it. AT&T just turned on their 5Gbps symmetrical literally 500ft from my house. BUT, and it’s a big limiting factor, the Xfinity cabling runs from the pole in the image and immediately transitions to underground for my neighborhood. AT&T has zero fiber run in my neighborhood, and we’ve heard nothing about future plans for it either. Hopefully the threat of more competition was enough to accelerate Xfinity FDX plans in my area.
We have the green Xfinity “doghouses” dispersed through the neighborhood as well. They have not touched those since the mid-split upgrade in 2023. If I understood the Xfinity Maintenance techs properly, from that FDX amp in the image, to the tap in front of my house, there’s a single doghouse. I have never seen inside the doghouse, so no clue what’s inside.
I’ll see whether I can get some better images of the FDX amps.
