I want a self-hosted cloud storage solution

I’m in the market for a cloud storage solution that I can self-host on my LAN but I do not know which software package I want. I do not need all the bells and whistles that an enterprise would need but I want something simple just to sync files to. I have started to research the subject and I have found NextCloud, OwnCloud, Seafile and Syncthing to be the top contenders that self-hosters use.

I am requesting input and guidance from experienced and knowledgeable self-hosters who could give me some tips and suggestions.

I’m a mid-level self hoster, I’ve owned a few NASes through the years and currently run a 52TB Unraid box.

I’m planning on getting Nextcloud up eventually, but I’m still relying on Backblaze and Google as last chance backups, I’m planning on switching to Canadian alternatives shortly.
