NASA+ is Coming to Netflix This Summer

GeekGirl1

Announced on June 30, 2025, but I just saw this press release on the NASA site.

NASA announced Monday its latest plans to team up with a streaming service to bring space a little closer to home. Starting this summer, NASA+ live programming will be available on Netflix.

Audiences now will have another option to stream rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, mission coverage, and breathtaking live views of Earth from the International Space Station.

…NASA+ remains available for free, with no ads, through the NASA app and on the agency’s website.

Additional programming details and schedules will be announced ahead of launch.

I have Netflix premium and hope they show this in 4K high def.

(FYI - Government websites do not have copyright protection. Your tax dollars at work.)

Well, neither NASA nor Netflix say that NASA+ will be available in 4K, only that the stream will be in (1080p?) HD.

How do I stream NASA+ live programming on Netflix?

Starting later this summer, you’ll find NASA+ live feeds in the Netflix interface alongside your favorite series.

Expect rocket launches, mission coverage, and real-time ISS vistas — all streaming in HD glory.

NASA+ remains free on the NASA app and NASA.gov; Netflix is simply another (very handy) window into the great beyond.

Detailed schedules drop closer to launch day, so check back to Tudum for more details in the coming weeks.

telcodad OK, but I’m paying for Netflix premium which supports 4K. I have a high def home theater system and want every bit I can glean out of that feed. Launches are awesome in 4K (seen on YouTube).

NASA+ also free on Roku for some time now.
