HELLFIRE It will be a four year mission till its decommissioned (if they can get it back in the water) otherwise they might as well stop fixing it and start cutting it up - save time and money.

What dog turd that program was, three built, 29 ordered, 26 cancelled and each one bespoke and costly, and that is before they face planted one into a seamount.

HELLFIRE Oh don’t forget the newest pet project, the new nuclear powered things with railguns and lasers; no one knows how it will work, what it will do and why it’s even needed but its the latest of ideas (and possible future cancellations).

The USA is not developing rail guns but Japan has with some success. Laser weapons are proven and very efficient near distance weapons. Just because we chose to do something that is hard, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do it.

Look what it took to get the JWST into space, and just look what is is accomplishing!

Our defense contractors do try and keep up, but it’s very hard, and giving our enemies access is one of the biggest problems we have right now that is preventable.
