Yeah, me too. My NETGEAR C7100V D3.0 gateway is 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5). But it does the job for me.

I just put a wifi 5 device in service. Ive no reason for anything faster as my ISP doesnt support it. I was using an old A/B/G AP (granted it was an enterprise cisco device I got from work for free years ago).

Problem with all these upgrades, and the reviewers even say this; unless your ISP supports speeds that fast, its overkill. Other than phones, most devices dont support anything above wifi 5, if they even support that.

I got fiber last year 1G up/down. I usually get 1.25 up/down. I got a WiFi 7 mesh system, and it works great. WiFi 8 for me would be great if it’s more stable. Most of the time, I’m very stable, but when all the kids in the neighborhood are home, or if I have all my devices online, I sometimes have lag. In this case, I would love it.

Yeah, me too. My Netgear Night Hawk R7200 wifi router is still working. I was able to do AC 1300 Meg wifi with it as well. I do have an Amazon Eero 6+ provided by Frontier, but the range on that router is very lacking, The Eero is AX5400 but has no external antenna.
