egeezer 90 degrees today, a light SW breeze. Mower fixed, yard mowed, trimmed, edged. Neighbor’s sweet corn is in, gave us some for supper. Now, corn on the grill, cold beer, loaf on the patio awhile. Sunday jazz. Life is good.
telcodad egeezer Now, corn on the grill, … So how do you cook it on the grill? My wife wraps each cob in a wet piece of paper towel and then wraps that in aluminum foil. Twenty minutes on the grill, rotating them 90 degrees every 5 minutes. That kind of streams them that way.
egeezer telcodad We grill similarly. I soak them (husks on of course) for 20 minutes prior to grilling. I also grill at 450 degrees for 20 minutes, spritz with water, turning 90 degrees every 5 minutes. An Amish guy showed me how to butter corn easily when having a corn roast with lots of corn. He puts a gallon can on the cool side of the grill, filled almost to the top with hot water. He then melts a stick of butter on it. The butter floats on top of the water. Then, he uses the peeled back husk as a handle and dips the corn in the water and pulls it out quickly. The ear is buttered nicely.
