Anyone have a copy of the DSLR (or otherwise) list of HighSplit locations and phasing? Bonus if it also has the status's of each.

My recollection is that the DSLR list was not entirely accurate or up to date. Phase 1 is only 15% of the footprint. DFW is the largest Phase1 area and St. Louis might have been first. Phase 2 and 3 areas are speculative, but I think that if they are not currently building out your area, you are in 2 or 3.

SPC-Texas The first area was the test town of Burns Oregon. Then they moved on to Reno NV/Lake Tahoe and Rochester MN for phase 1.

Phase 2 has started. The pictures from NuclearTX is showing phase 2 Vecima nodes.

CBusdude Should we create a master thread like DSL reports has? I would personally copy and paste the master list and go from there.

I am still willing to post updates on North Texas launches by city. The last area I have seen to launch is Weatherford Texas shortly after the first of the year still have outer cities being upgraded. I suspect they will likely launch 2Gig in North Texas around July/August when they finish upgrading equipment.

I live just outside of Charlotte, Huntersville to be exact. It is located between both Mooresville and Charlotte and Spectrum was working on a node outside my neighborhood one day a couple weeks ago, there has also been survey sticks near it. Is there a chance of High Split? Here is the picture of him working on it, it appears to be a newer Arris node I am guessing. https://imgur.com/a/4lLurgY

This node is around 5 miles down the road from me, you literally just take the same road down 5 miles and here it is. This seems to be a Commscope node for High Split I am guessing? https://imgur.com/a/RoW4DXd

That list hadn't been updated in a awhile. I'm sure new areas aren't there and areas like Louisville are already built out. Anyway as it is I would love some info on TN specifically west TN

The North Texas list seems to still be accurate. Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington each still have hubs not activated along with suburbs. They have made major progress but there are pockets of hubs still being worked on.

noticed on updated streetview from Dec 2024 Charter is using technetix amplifiers in the last hub for the city here again. They wound up installing a few Arris style housings last year in my area to compensate for 1.2GHz spacing to get the area ready for high-split that launched in Aug 2024. But it seems they sorted out the technetix sourcing issue.

I honestly think Charter couldn't source enough Arris/Commscope gear so they went with Technetix in Arlington to offset the lack of gear they needed.

I suspect Arlington TX should be done building out here within a few months if that. Everyone besides the northeastern hub has activated high-split.

I would love an updated list for the Big Lake, MN area. I think our service comes out of Buffalo, MN but no one knows for sure. I'm currently stuck trying to upload some 30GB or so of backed up email archives of offboarded users to the corporate network over my horrible 35 Mbps up connection 🙁

While out on a walk, I saw a Charter/Spectrum fiber truck working in the area, I said hello and asked what if anything he knew about High Splits in my area.

He said that last he heard High Splits were on indefinite hold, so if he is telling the truth, it does not sound like High Splits are going to be coming anytime soon the Orlando market.

Not_Sure Entirely possible, I have no idea one way or the other, the Charter/Spectrum employee was surprised that I even knew about High Splits and then just very casually said that he heard that it was on an indefinite hold.

As I said, if he is telling the truth, I have no knowledge one way or the other, I sincerely hope he is full of bull, because I could really use the higher upload speeds.

dan1431 There was a delay on upgrades in areas that are designated as phase 2 and 3. But for the most part they fixed those issues and are moving forward. Also reports of upgrades in North Texas still going on as of this month.

There may be holds on upgrades in areas such as Socal and North Carolina to allow maintenance to repair damage from the wildfires and flooding but it isn't a company wide hold.

dan1431 Honestly, it would not shock me if they just stopped rolling it out to anyone that hasn't had it started already. Supposedly Rosemount MN upgrade was supposed to start on 2/15/2025 but no clue if it did.

Thought the TX areas were phase 1, not 2. Ive yet to hear of any P2 active.

WNC Id assume is getting rebuilt to the new spec. I dunno had it been done yet. That said, I dont think any of WNC fell in any of the phase scopes, at least to the list on here. Thats all Asheville/Greenville (SC)/Spartanburg (SC). Only Charlotte & Raleigh areas are scoped (Mooresville to me is part of the immediate Charlotte area/market).

That said, as far as the Raleigh market goes, from my understanding most of the line work had been done. My assumption is the delay has been due to certification issues and P1 rollout elsewhere. I'd believe the "indefinite" due to the lack of further details for any P2/P3 areas.

zapman987 They have gotten behind in parts of phase 1. Nearing 2 years just to upgrade the North Texas region. There were delays they had about 3/4ths of my city done by the end of 2023 for the most part and they are just now nearing completion of the last hub probably just waiting on the switch to turn on the speeds as it seems the last hub was upgraded in Q4 2024/early Q1 2025.

There was also a report the other day on one of the subreddits either cable techs or spectrum that there is an area fixing to get 1.8GHz ATX drop in modules. So I am going to guess they may be skipping a lot of the originally planned 1.2GHz gear and going straight to 1.8GHz.

I know that phase 1 areas that use technetix amps are going to require cutouts when they do decide to replace the amps with 1.8GHz gear as a part of replacement cycles when they fail as the DBE-1200S and DBC-1200S only go up to 1.2GHz with 204MHz high-split return.

Also they would have of had to rollout the HSC devices in NC to have started the switch to high-split. They aren't taking away the legacy OOB signal from the nodes until they replace the modules with high-split gear. Apparently when they do switch to high-split the signal is emulated from a DSG carrier that converts it to the legacy frequency for the cable card device to receive as if the signal is coming from the headend the same as before.

All I know is that my area in CT is scheduled sometime for phase 104 with a revised target date that is 2.4 eons to go from yesterday. It will also likely be some inferior technology that will need to be touched over and over to match what fiber can deliver today.

smccloud Why? I live in small town in rural area and I have Verizon 5G home internet available and TEC is surveying the poles for fiber expansion here. Does Charter want to continue to lose customers as customers have more and more options?

smccloud I don't see them just cancelling the upgrades due to scheduling issues with the DAA node software certification. They have also had issues sourcing amplifier gear. In my area it seems that Charter has had a hard time getting Arris/Commscope equipment as they have installed Broadband International BLE lids and full ACI General Instruments style housings along with Mini Bridger housings from either broadband international or ACI.
