Passed ENARSI today!

After months of reading and watching videos and labbing, i passed ENARSI on my 2nd attempt. Luckily my work had quite a few of CE credits from all our yearly purchases. I don’t think I will persue the CCIE, too much proprietary software that I don’t have access to. I’m sure i’ll find other things to keep me entertained.

What software is needed these days? I passed CCIE a lifetime ago and did it by buying a pile of equipment from auctions, ebay, and a few other places to jury rig the craziest home lab but I let my certifications lapse because it wasn’t doing me any good and was costing me time and money. I didn’t find the test hard because I was already proficient at what it encompassed but it cost me more than I felt it was worth and nobody cared that I had it since most of the people looking at my credentials didn’t have it or know what it represented. They pretty much stopped at CCNA.

There’s DNA center, which i’m sure will make an appearance. There’s even questions on the NP about it. I know you can access it for free with the free labs on the cisco devnet page.
