Aceq2jot Comcast, nor the FCC complaint, will do a thing about your WiFi speed tests, or your wired speed tests, on websites or apps, other than the Xfinity app itself. Poor results from those will be blamed on your personal devices and/or equipment. The only thing they will address, is the signal quality and speeds as tested by their testing equipment, at a few specific locations. The first is at the Tap (pedestal or on the pole). Next is at the Xfinity box on the side of your house BEFORE it enters your house. Those are the only points at which it is full Comcast responsibility. The last two places are the coax at its connection to the modem, and then an Ethernet cable to the highest speed port of the modem. If it’s a COAM, you’re on the hook if the modem doesn’t output the necessary speeds. If the cabling from the Xfinity box to your modem is causing issues, that’s on you as well. But if you have an XB8, the signal is good up to the XB8, and then the speeds from port 4 (red line above it) are the plan speeds, it’s your devices that are at fault. If the speeds from port 4 are slow, then Comcast will address it.
Also, the only speed test Comcast really cares about, is the speed to gateway test, from within the Xfinity app.
