In my suburban city (Roseville, California) with a population of 163,000 I found out they are upgrading everyone to mid-split first even though they have been at it for at least 2 years now.
My neighborhood was lucky enough to be one the first to get mid-split in 2024 since we have an Xfinity store within walking distance from my house located at the end of the main road.
It turns out the FCC broadband data maps errantly flagged a number of neighborhoods as already active on mid-split. In reality the contractor that did my neighborhood is still working to finish upgrading other areas of my city that remained on sub-split all this time.
What’s dumb about it as recently as last week they are still only putting in mid-split capable equipment (for ex: same old Arris mb120 amps).
So likely no FDX for me ☹️
