What's the Holdup with Spectrum Getting METV Toons in More Markets?

Guys,
I think Spectrum might be waiting on a new deal with METV. The parties could use TV Toons as a negotiating tool. The channel remains popular. Is it owned by Weigel Broadcasting in all markets? Some Spectrum areas in New York and LA have it, and have had it for a long time.

satch Having to either have agreements with local OTA channels or getting authorization for a national feed. Charter may not be interested in doing a national feed even though a feed exists. It is broadcast on channels not owned by Weigal. Local OTA channels can block the national feeds as well.

satch METV Toons is an OTA channel in Los Angeles (KCAL-DT6) and New York (WJLP-DT2), so it’s probably opting for “must carry” status. In smaller markets it may not be on OTA due to space constraints and can’t force must carry.

MacLeech KCAL-DT6 in L.A. is only a part-time affiliate of MeTV Toons, weeknights from 7 PM to 4:00 AM and almost all day on weekends. Spectrum carries MeTV Toons via Weigel-owned LPTV KSFV-CD (OTA channel 27-1).
