telcodad I was trying to figure out how Logitech, famous maker of PC accessories like Keyboards, Mice, Headsets, webcams, etc… has not yet sued “Premier LogiTech” for the similar use of the name.
I then thought maybe because Premier LogiTech doesn’t make and sell products by that name. Apparently they were just providing repair services for Motorola based products.
From the article:
“Launched in 2007, Premier LogiTech has been providing repair and product lifecycle services to Motorola for more than ten years, with an emphasis on mobile products.”
I don’t fully have the entire grasp of US Copyright, Trademark and Patent laws, but now that this company is in charge of an actual product line, are they still exempt from lawsuits from Logitech due to continuing to use the Motorola name on the product?
Way back when it was announced this company was to take over this product line, I like many read the headline quick like Logitech, and as a computer peripheral manufacturer, it kind of made sense it could be a fit for what they do.
