I think they went “Oops, it is really expensive there”. They currently have 21 stores in Canada, but 1500 worldwide.

There are plenty of reconizable-named stores that I would go to first.

bjlockie Turns out they are a very very large global player of selling sports stuff but just not that big in Canada.

Thanks to our proximity to the US, and unfortunately its current amok administration we are getting boned when it comes to price, availability and selection on retail among other things. Relying too heavily on the US, at the same time our own banks and investors in products always demand “does it does it sell well in the US?” before considering any sort of investment has lead to a market that is shrinking and rising prices.

bjlockie They are not big here, but as I said, 1500 locations in the world.

I entered their store in Brossard Québec, it’s way too big, it must cost a fortune in rent. But it’s a really nice store, they have everything you need, and competitive prices. I don’t know if that particular store is one of their flagships and that’s why it’s so big, or if they are all the same, but I could see them failing if that’s the case.

Pulsar They are all a very large size. The one in Vaughan had an indoor rink area set up to try out skates (fake ice surface).
