Dks01 no, BBC is not a state media outlet. It’s funding model is apolitical. It’s mandate is by Royal Charter.
I’m sorry to laugh, but anything that has the word “Royal” in it… nevermind.
Actually, the BBC is funded by the government in no small part, from taxes on TV ownership. Taxes on people without regard whether or not they want to watch any BBC content on their televisions. That’s a great free market government subsidized market of the press.
