Was using the old site from about 2000 but didn't actually register for an account until 2009 when I had a computer problem I needed help with and had to register in order to post. The internet seems strange without the old site. Happy to see a few familiar names here.

I've given up trying to find my join date through the Wayback Machine, it just keeps giving me errors. I was, however, able to find an old Google search from a post I made at some point that does indeed show my join date as June 7, 2009. I knew it was June 2009 but now I know the exact date was June 7, so 15 1/2 years as a registered user and another nine (ish) on top of that as a lurker. It is a bit odd this was the only post I saw on Google as it is a very old one and the last post I made recently was just in December 2024.
