Modem suggestions?

Warzau

Well after a long debate I finally am going to get my own modem. I really just kept since I had a great deal on all services since I kept land line for just my alarm system. Now my alarm company won’t support VOIP. I used to keep a nice list at the other place but since it’s gone I’m asking here if you can recommend a modem. Currently I have a Asus Router.

Thanks

You want one from the next gen speed tier list.
I’ve been using a Coda56 on Xfinity for the last 9 months or so, and it’s been fantastic. Very stable, great speed(I admittedly only subscribe to 400/150). But definitely you want something that supports mid split speeds, because those are coming eventually even if you don’t have them currently.

deefop the coda56 is a great modem for the price. I’m on gig x2 and am always able to get 2300/360 and it’s very stable. Only slight downside is that it’s hard to get to the admin page to view the signal levels.

I’d be on the lookout for a refurb Netgear CM2500.
