heard two big booms & whole house power gone .. tis been down for a good hour so far.

my laptop is running on battery ..
my modem is running off my UPS ..
& my refrigerator is plugged into my VTOMAN FlashSpeed 1500 Power Station .. it’ll run for hours : )) ..

g121 I should look into a power station like that. There’s a joke in Quebec that whenever it rains, snows or there’s a bit of wind, there’s a power outage. 😃

now for giggles .. i have this little gadget that allows me to turn my lawn mower battery into an electrical outlet .. it’s now running my modem : )) ..

g121 We had a power failure here at 3:42PM. Computers. network equipment, TV all running uninterrupted on multiple UPSes. 24kW generator started up automatically. Power came back at 4:34PM.

not sure about the fridge .. but i have actually run my gas furnace with my power station for 10-11 hours in the winter (December) & there was still 20-25% battery power left.

i wasn’t sure how much power was in the station when i started powering my fridge today .. but, being cautious, i was guessing it would last me to 4-6am in the morning .. so why chance it, i drove over to a neighbour outside the outage area, had a chat & a beer & topped up my power station : )) ..
