Error message on PS5

Went to open a streaming game on my PS5 that I bought earlier in the day (I had a free trial but bought the game) and I got this message.
I downloaded the game but I prefer to stream games to keep the storage on my consoles to a minimum. I do have unlimited data on my Comcast connection.

I’ve never understood why people need huge drives with terabytes of data for gaming, but I think I’m in the minority. I’m the only one that uses my consoles/PC, so I don’t need more than 2-3 games at a time on any one of them, and I’m usually a one-game-at-a-time kind of guy. When I run out of room I delete one and install something new.

TheBionic My PS5 has a 1 TB hard drive. I only install games that are required to be installed. Other games I stream. I have a small collection of games right now but plan to build it. I have many consoles from over the years starting with the Super Nintendo. Most of them are in the back bedroom in storage. The only ones I have hooked up right now are the Nintendo Switch 1, Xbox one S, and the PS5. I have to use and HDMI switcher because I only have three HDMI ports on the TV and I have a DirecTV Gemini streaming device on one of the ports.

Do you mind if I ask why? Nothing against it, you do you, but what’s the benefit?

TheBionic I like to keep hard drive space free. If I can stream the game then I see no point in using storage space on the console.

iahawkeye83 Looks like it might be a glitch or something. Try completely uninstalling the game. Restarting your PS5, then trying to see if you can redownload the game.

AlphaPhoenix When I purchased it I bought the Deluxe Edition which includes downloadable content so I deleted it and now I only have the option to download it and the streaming option is no longer available on the game card.

You didn’t send some kind of screenshot or image to Sony from the console, right? 😉😝🤡

At first I was ready to say that Sony was trying to shadow ban you from your purchases. But sounds like you got it sorted out.
