Yes Home Hardware is still going strong here in Canada, at least it is here on Vancouver Island. My husband and I shop at both Home Depot and Home Hardware, there is definitely a place for both of them
Yes, there most certainly is. I was able to get a flusher system assembly kit for my toilet at Home Hardware a few summers ago that I couldn't find anywhere else, neither Home Depot, Canadian Tire, etc.. I didn't even know what I was looking for until I saw a section of what I thought I needed and my toilet model was there.
What would have been nice though is the classic family hardware store experience where I ask old Gus what I need and he orders it for me. Those were the days...
