FedEx "Label Created"

Any of you folks been in the situation where the shipper (a reliable company) swears up and down that they gave the package to FedEx, but 12 hours later FedEx tracking still says “Label Created” (package not received by FedEx).

Wish me luck today.

There are a lot of posts on other sites of FedEx actually delivering the package, yet even then the tracking was NEVER changed….

12 hours? Unless this is an express delivery I wouldn’t worry about it yet. FedEx usually won’t even begin a trace until after 10 days. I have this happen all the time from AMZ and WM packages, just give it more time, they usually arrive.

Both of these say the label was created yesterday over 12 hours ago…

My experience has been that the package is actually moving and it’s just the tracking details that are behind schedule.

This was FedEx Standard Overnight btw.

The package was just delivered, with a different tracking number from the one the shipper had.

Sellers, FedEx and UPS have used"partner shipping", which involves other shippers like DHL and USPS. I’ve seen similar situations where the subsequent shippers replaced the original one with their own tracking numbers. Like your experience, I see “LABEL CREATED” but no updates, then the package arrives unannounced with a different label and tracking number.

Tracking info may or may not be accurate, depending on the source and shipper used. That was especially true from packages coming from some asian countries where I often only got a “label created” message, then just receive the package after several weeks. But even in cases of US shipping tracking can be inaccurate – I am supposed to receive the below package today, but they either didn’t update the tracking info, or more likely, I will get it tomorrow instead.

I think JanJ should have some stories on tracking. 😉
