⚠️ WARNING: It appears that as of version 9.7.0 the developer is including the installer with ADS in some of the .exe installer names. Anything below 9.7.0 does not list ADS in the installer file names. The .ZIP files remain unaffected.

CrystalDiskInfo9_7_0Ads.exe edition executable. That version includes advertisements in its user interface, which helps support the developer. It’s the same disk monitoring tool under the hood—just with ad banners.

If you prefer a cleaner experience, there’s also a “Standard Edition” or “Shizuku Edition” .ZIP (with a character theme but no ads). All versions offer the same functionality: real-time monitoring of drive health, temperature, and SMART data.

It’s usually on 24/7 except if I go away on an extended trip.
My older Windows 10 PC I have enter into sleep mode after 1 hr.

Just now catching up on this update. It appears the author has added an Ads version? I get CrystalDiskInfo9_7_0Ads.exe
Reading that I’m assuming the installer includes an Ad or Ads.

It certainly does not in the .ZIP (Standard Edition) version. (.ZIP) I’ve never used the installer before, but this sounds like new behavior to me. Good catch! All CrystalMark threads have been updated with this important new information.

Interesting, no mention of v9.8.0 download on the developer’s main website page yet. Lists [2025/08/31] CrystalDiskInfo 9.7.2 as the latest download, as of this post.

They’ve updated CrystalDiskMark as well to v9.0.2.

I always use the zip file version, I love those types. I have a folder full of stand alone programs that work with there own folder. Currently have around 25 programs. CrystalDiskInfo, CrystalDiskMark, Autoruns, Process Explorer, HWiNFO64 and other similar type stuff. I can “install” them on new PC in seconds.

I always keep Crystal Disk Info around. I’ll have to update.
