… On Tuesday, security researchers Jason Kim, Jalen Chuang, and Daniel Genkin from the Georgia Institute of Technology in the US, and Yuval Yarom from Ruhr University Bochum in Germany, published papers describing two speculative-execution attacks dubbed SLAP [PDF] and FLOP [PDF]. These attacks exploit weaknesses in Apple’s Arm-compatible processor designs to extract information from memory that should be off limits.
Aye Apple, fancy alittle slap ’n tickle here?
Big flop by Apple PR because it didn’t want anyone to come?
Guess Apple silicon can’t conduct itself with dignity.
Why don’t silicon chips use social media? They’re afraid of getting too much cache.
What’s SLAP and FLOP’s favorite game? Hide and cache.
Silicon’s motto: Keep calm and circuit on.
I’ll quit while I’m ahead! XD XD
