If both engines were shut down due to electrical or SW fault, a comparable fault could have shut down all four engines.
On the other hand, mechanical or bird induced faults *usually* only affect one engine, not all.
In any case, most modern airplanes have only 2 engines (twinjets) and with the sole exception of the IL-96, no one is making 4 engine passenger jets (747, A340, etc.) any more.
The Ilyushin Il-96 is a very low volume (33 airplanes in around 30 years) product used only in Russia and Cuba – it was discontinued once since Boeing and Airbus planes were better, but then production was restarted due to the sanctions.
