Amazon Launches Second Batch of Broadband Satellites

United Launch Alliance (ULA) announced today that a rocket with Amazon’s Project Kuiper satellites launched this morning from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The satellites will be used for Amazon’s satellite internet, with the goal of bringing fast, reliable internet to customers around the world.

This is the second batch of Project Kuiper satellites that have been launched on the ULA Atlas V rocket, with six more to come. The first batch launched in April 2025, after being delayed for over a year. In total, Project Kuiper will have over 3000 satellites and is set to become a major competitor for Starlink.
