Good old Comcast. Canceled Post paid service and went to Pre paid service. Went very smooth. Until now…… They claim we need to turn in a modem. BUT we haven’t rented a modem from them for at least a decade. SMH…… Gotta love when someone doesnt do their damn job.

Unfortunately this was/has been an ongoing issue with Comcast. It was generally known to be sure to keep all equipment receipts in perpetuity. They tried with me once but I had the receipt. Even for those who actually never even had any Comcast equipment issued. Which is harder to prove since there was no equipment receipt except maybe for the initial signup showing customer owned modem in use.

Jbob The CSR told my mom to ignore it. Because she pulled the account and seen we haven’t had a modem from them in over 10 years. My only guess is that we had a SB6141 at one time and Comcast had the some model as a leased modem at one time, so it could be that they are confused.
