this is probably ok,but just wanted to hear from someone else.had a saved payment method on xfinity website (not automatic payment) for 3 years now that card is going to expire soon,so i went to the website to manage saved payments and clicked on EDIT then it only asked me for the new expiration date punched it in and it stated that my card was updated successfully.my question is they did not ask for the 3 digit security code on the back of the card?

Probably because it really does not matter? One of the interesting results of changes in the Visa/MC/Amex requirements between issuers and merchants was that those who use regular automatic deductions are required to get a feed that automatically updates the current CC info (the original goal was to deal with CC replacements due to compromises through no fault of the CC holder, but it also impacts renewals). I have had CC’s on file with some vendors that expired 4 years ago that were still being (automatically) redirected to the current CC numbers. As you can still challenge any particular charge, it mostly is a win for most consumers.

Just went through a card replacement (due to “misplaced” card*) and didn’t know the full replacement number for 8 days during shipping.
CC company said standard existing billing would automatically be paid as normal, any new /unusual activity would be texted to me for approval.
In fact 2 weeks later, local grocery store is still billing using old number with no problems.

"lost card was found within 1 minute after I declared it lost/stolen while I was still online to VISA bot…too late to stop new number/ replacement process
