badtlc4 So what is the difference between a “real” speed test and one performed my the Gateway itself? If your local area is experiencing congestion wouldn’t that show on any speed test? Honest question.
I am not sure where the Gateway speed test sends it’s packets but assume it’s always to an AT&T designated site/facility, whether it’s local or not.
I also performed a speed test via my Asus router, set to auto, with a local fiber company it got over 2300/2300.
If you’re performing a speed test that jumps across networks/peering points how can you be sure that isn’t the cause?
