urbanriot Agreed, the Gunslinger would have been a great “Game of Thrones” series, and they could have done either movies or mini-series of single books like Insomnia or a remake of Hearts in Atlantis that tie into that universe. It would have been really cool.
I’m not a celebrity-worshipping type of guy, but if I met SK I would be starstruck as his books ignited in me a love of reading and fiction that I still have to this day. I PORED over them as a kid and a teenager. I played hooky for 2 days when Tommyknockers came out.
That said his track record with movies can be pretty atrocious, he’s gone to bat saying he loved some real stinkers, but there have been some really good ones too. I guess you can’t be good at everything! Hoping The Institute is good.
