HooRU Not true music is massive with new tech. Lot's of new creators now, just no money in it. But art isn't money.
Without money there is no distribution resulting in no one knowing about the art of the music, and the musician or band fades away into obscurity.
I'll give you an idea of how tough it can be, there is a studio in N Miami by the name of Criteria Studios, most of the big names in R&R have recorded there, what is not know is how many upstarts would come in there late at night so they could afford the rate.
Had they not saved and scrimped they could have never afforded to book a session, nor less get a break to get into the cut throat music business and many didn't have or could afford managers, who where actually responsible for the death of R&R.
I had a lot of fun working there after hours as a engineer when I had no work from the station to do, it didn't pay a lot but I met many very nice people, many of whom became really real known.
Bottom line though no money equals nothing happening.
