I have 189 points and $0 rebate.
Plus they are ending the program.

bjlockie gotta love mass mailings to everyone that just assume everyone in the program is the same. Not long ago I got one from Hilton honors saying I had a large balance of points expiring soon and I should book a holiday stay. I had enough points for $20 off a one night stay. Like yeah I’ll book a $2500 stay right away to use that $20 up!!! Sheesh. 🙄

I don’t think I bought very much from CC. I remember collecting a ton of points at NCIX. By the time they were closing and I redeemed them they didn’t have much available to redeem the points for.

So I ‘bought’ the most ridiculous ‘expensive’ item on the list of rewards. A headphone stand. I never would have paid for one, but I do use it now.

I don’t make enough points to bother honestly - at most I spend 1-2 nights a year at a Hampton Inn for under $200/night. The only reason I’m a member as it makes booking easier as they have all my preferences and billing and stuff in my honors account and I can check in from my app and go straight to my room and use my phone as room key without having to stop at a busy front desk.

I’ve got over 30,000 AirMiles and nowhere to go. Also enough for a ticket on AC and I think Delta. I used to travel a lot and earned them, but they’ve sat there for years now unused. So far they haven’t expired though.

Hydraglass Same. When my father was in the last months of his life, pre-COVID, I stayed an a particular Garden Inn near where he was. I haven’t done that since. I have a family wedding this summer, so I will stay at Hilton again.

with certain being a very good chunk of everything they had for sale.

Not long ago they shuttered a number of their stores, I think they are still OK as a company and hope they do well but with the global US manufactured turmoil we are in I do wonder if they can survive.

bjlockie Canada Computers wiped all my points years ago and I was never able to get them back, I actually had hundreds of dollars in points. My local store said to call head office, every time I tried to get help from head office I was passed to someone who conveniently didn’t speak english and hung up on me.

The points system has been finished since at least 2024.
