Fraudsters are exploiting the limited phone support offered by Roku, creating fake help pages and phone numbers that lure unsuspecting users into costly traps. These scams often involve deceptive tech support services, with scammers tricking users into signing up for unnecessary monthly or yearly subscriptions, sometimes costing hundreds of dollars.

However, phone support is intentionally limited, reserved for specific issues like billing or account recovery, and is not available for most technical problems. This gap has created an opportunity for bad actors to prey on users seeking quick solutions for issues like device setup, streaming errors, or software glitches. ….
