Donut417 Stembolt I recall reading Amazon was moving to a different OS. As they just use a modified Android OS currently. That might be the reason why. Because it’s easy to jail break it due to the Android OS. Considering what has happened with Cox piracy case. Im sure Amazon is slightly worried.
Andyross I wonder why the focus on Fire TV, when Android/Google devices are probably even less secure. But then, Fire TV is a big name they can point at, I guess.
lesmikesell That’s sort of like saying ‘oceans’ enable actual piracy. It is not the device’s fault. Make it easy to pay for what you want when you want it and most of that would go away anyway.
Donut417 lesmikesell You’re not wrong. When Netflix was priced reasonably and ad free there was a noticeable drop in piracy. But these corporations are greedy. Greed will be their downfall.
