Apple AirPods Pro2 can’t connect to iPhone

I had a problem with my right AirPod connecting to my phone, so following advice from Apple I tried to reset them. This involves removing them from the Bluetooth category on your iPhone and trying to have them reestablish a pair. However, I followed all the advice and something is not working correctly. According to Apple, I should push down the back button on my AirPod Case for like 15 seconds and the light should go from flashing Amber to white - then I should be able to pair the AirPods. However that’s not what happens. When I push down the button on the back of my AirPod Case with the AirPods in there fully charged, the light flashes Amber three times, green one time, and then Amber one more time. This is obviously some kind of three – one – one code, but there’s no place on apple.com or the Internet that explains what this secret code is supposed to mean! Does anyone know what it means or how to get around this problem? Thank you.

Son’s [Name] (i.e., Apple Account) is grayed out under Settings.

My son had an iPad first for school, then he has an iPhone. Because he had the iPad first, his location is linked to his iPad, not his iPhone. I want to change that but…. His iPhone does not even show up under find me and there appears to be no way to add it. This is because when you try to go under settings and click on his name up top, which should open up his Apple account, that section is grayed out, and there’s no way to open it. Since I can’t open that section, I can’t turn on the find me function. I’m not able to do it through his iCloud.com account as they tell you to do it on the phone. I can find no answers on apple.com. Does anyone know how I get around this mess?

Did you set up any screen time settings for his account? It’s under Settings app -> Screen Time. Scroll down to the “Family” item and you might see an entry there. If there is an item go into it and look for “Restrictions” and “Content & Privacy restrictions” and tap on that. I think the “Accounts” section might be the option that governs if the person you are restricting can change things on their account item in th settings app.

I know I have this set on my son’s iPad (currently not functional) and I know his account is greyed out until I go in and turn something off, then I (technically him, as it’s his account it’s signed into) can change things in his account.
