To answer my own question:
I had this issue after updating my long-in-the-closet obi200 to the third-party software and following the built-in instructions for Google Voice provisioning. No matter what I tried, I’d get the not connected message above. Finally, I reset the device by sticking a paper clip in the hole on the bottom and holding it until one of the lights flashed differently. After this, I tried again and everything worked. If I’d had started with this move, I’d have saved many hours!
If you do run into snags, don’t believe AI or any search that tells you to use either your Google username or your new GV phone number in the AuthUserName feild under SP1. The provisioning url (provided in the instructions in the firmware) will fill in the correct AuthUserName as ${DSN}_1 under SIP, at least if you’re using SP1.
Hope that helps someone else. New firmware flash and it doesn’t work? Try resetting and go through the steps again.
