I may or may not just be speaking for myself, but I would never take advice from Linus tech tips.
Even before anything, I never liked Linus’s voice; it’s chirpy, to the point of being like aural sandpaper.
And then he tried to dig on Gamers Nexus. Which just exposed the toxic work environment the Linus Media group creates. It’s impossible to continue to create quality content when his staff has maybe 2 hours a working day per video to work on through the week.
Even before that, his podcast rant regarding the Hardware Unboxed ban irked me; both that it worked entirely due to his sphere of influence, but also because compared to nearly every other YouTuber and media personality, his silence afterwards demonstrated how Linus did his rant was so much clout chasing.
