Normally, “celebrity lawyer” is used to describe a lawyer who works for celebrities. I think there are also a few cases when lawyers became sort of celebrities later in life, but I can’t recall any case where a bona-fide celebrity became a lawyer later in life.
Until now, that is since Kim Kardashian (!!!) finished her studies and she can become a lawyer if she passes the California bar exam. 😲
Frankly, if someone told me this 10 - 15 years ago I would’ve suggested a a psychiatric evaluation, but she’s almost there now. Assuming she passes the exam, we’ll probably know her true intentions soon – she could star as a lawyer in some reality show, but on the other hand, she could also represent battered women pro bono. Or do both.
