The film armorer convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting on the set of “Rust” has been released from prison. She was released in Arizona, to a region near the Nevada and California borders, with dual supervision under probation and parole authorities to take place concurrently, spokesperson Brittany Roembach said. She will be on parole in the manslaughter case for a year, the spokesperson said.

It was a low budget movie for a reason, so it’s not going to break any record, but it does have an outsized publicity for obvious reasons.

In any case, looks like it’s a middling movie on rottentomatoes, but it still beats Snow White and Minecraft. 😉

I did see this one. More out of curiousity. I’m not really into westerns.

For production values, it was better than I was expecting. It didn’t look like trash or a shoestring budget movie. I’ve seen a lot of really bad movies, and this wasn’t it. There were a few recognizable actors in it.

But it felt like a paint-by-numbers western plot. Absolutely nothing interesting about this movie. And no reason for it to have a run time of 2 hours and 15 minutes.

IMO, for Safety’s Sake, prop guns should not be able to use real ammo.
Real guns or ammo should not be allowed on or near a set.

That would require modifications to both guns and ammo. and that would be unreasonable. One simply need to ensure that live ammo is not mixed with other types, and double check everything when loading a weapon.
