vaxvms All kinds of lures to get you reply to one of these unsolicited texts; along with a callout to your name are a doctor’s appointment, a funeral, a hospital visit, a social event, a message after a long absence.
antdude One day, we are going to get fake emails about this forum. I know the former (DSL/BR)R users did!
telcodad HardlyWorthit Put a tariff on them, that will get rid of them. /s Or I can see someone getting a text message saying: “You recently received a text message originating from Canada - a 10% tariff has now been assessed - please click on the link below to provide payment.” 😉
ugly95 It’s come to the point that the phone features of calling and texting have been rendered almost entirely useless on smartphones. I spend more time dealing with spam voice messages and texts than I do actually talking or texting. Any actual communication on a smartphone is done over Wi-Fi/data.

OmegaWolf747 I’ve been getting texts like that for years, usually addressed to Abraham. I block one number and I get the same text from another within days. It’s so annoying!

I get random spams like iPhone 16 purchases (yeah right), pay tolls, etc. E-mails are pretty bad too. Lots of asian spams! I don’t read asians!
