So I watched this one.
It was fine. So it didn’t fit my ‘suspect movie’ rule with Ashley Greene and Shawn Ashmore. In terms of production values it was solid.
But it’s nothing special either. It’s more of a mashup of a few different types of movies, so don’t expect much originality. It combines aspects of movies like ‘It Follows’ or ‘Smile’, with ‘Insidious’.
A few jump scares. It relies a little too much on the ultra-slow walking technique. And the ‘spirit-walking’ part of was kind of lame (it’s basically how the movie starts). They never bother to explain what they monster is or where it comes from. The end was kind of nonsensical with another spiritwalk.
But overall, it’s watchable.
