GoRaptors The recycling truck (there’s one for garbage, another that comes later for recycling) here has a “split” opening, ¾ is for blue box, ¼ for the green bin (food waste an some paper items). One presumes the ¼ section is the full length of the truck. What I’ve always wondered about is wether that smaller section is emptied separately from the ¾ section, or wether it all just gets put in the same place.
Halton does have a rather good section on it’s website about waste: https://www.halton.ca/For-Residents/Recycling-Waste/Waste-Recycling-Sorting-Guide
We get three black bags every other week for garbage, 27-gal an no more than 50lbs per bag. You can buy orange tags for extra garbage bags 5 tags for $10, and youi can thn have up to 6 bags for a single collection day. I did buy some a while ago just in case I need them, but have not yet done so.
Blue Box / clear recycling bag (they accept clear blue recycling bags, which is what we use, the limit seems to be 85 liters or less, and we’ve had maybe a max of 3 out on very rare occasions), and Green cart are every week.
