That’s where a new unofficial browser extension from developer TehPirate comes in. Available for both Google Chrome and Firefox, the browser add-on scans the T-Mobile website for all of your account data (with your permission) and displays it in a nice and easy to read interface.

One big thing this extension shows is your SOC codes. SOC codes are individual identification codes for every plan, feature, and add-on an account may have. Your overall account has an SOC code that uniquely identifies your specific plan, and your individual lines and add-ons have their own codes, too.

ThirdShifter It’s probably data that they’re exposing within the public pages or publicly accessible APIs. If they don’t want it publicly visible, they shouldn’t be making it publicly exposed.

I remember when somebody made a browser extension a couple years ago for Verizon and AT&T that exposed the hidden mmWave layers both carriers had on their coverage maps. AT&T “fixed” theirs by removing the layer from their public maps. Verizon’s remains functional and can still be exposed with the extension.
