Ok about this time last year I started noticing two different contractors in my area running lines and figured out one was for Xfinity and the other was for Lumen. I then came all the nice white nodes, new amps and everything and then after winter had left MN I saw Xfinity trucks at the Nodes connecting fiber.

We had a week of four scheduled outages and after that thing’s kinda went in the toilet. I had a tech out who replaced my XB8 and tested my line am I am getting 1.8 Gb to the modem but only see 1.3. But I have had micro-outages, outages and terrible speed variation. So last night I was digging through the logs for the past seven days and found many events of Wifi VAP set to down and Keypassphrase changed. No clue what either of them are about so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. I will reboot my XB8 and see if that helps. Yesterday I also Posted this in the in the Xfinity Support Forum. Now I can’t see any events in my log from since the 27th which I find very odd as there were weeks’ worth of events and now the modem just stopped having errors which I find weird. It is like when I run a trace route on Google, I have problems when it gets to where it goes to the backbone of the internet in Roseville Mn.

Kitsap Thank You. I have the hotspot turned off but i have Home security at the moment which sadly will get replaced as I have had a lot of problems with the touchscreen over the last couple of years and honestly compared to other systems it is expensive.
