I have s somewhat older tablet (Android 5.1.1) and when I try play some videos the playback is glitchy – it plays fine for a while, then stops for a little while, (200 ms to 1s) then plays fine for a few seconds, stops again, etc., ad nauseam.
It must be hitting some kind of bottleneck somewhere – either it can’t read data from the added uSD card fast enough, or it can’t process and display the data fast enough.
Does anyone know if there is a good, preferably remote (i.e. via ADB) tool that would allow me to watch important parameters such as disk I/O, memory, CPU and GPU usage, etc. – something akin to task manager or process explorer?
As an aside, I found this a bit a strange since I didn’t have this type of issue with much less powerful players (Sansa Fuze and Fuze+) or with a much older tablet running Android 2.
