I notice that there is a Third_Party Firmware for the VXX230 [ https://www.obifirmware.com/ : aa2k - for VVX D230 ]. Is the VXXD230 compatible with the consumer Google Voice? If not, what does the “aa2k - for VVX D230” accomplish?

Fala I was also curious about this and googled the device a while back. AFAICT it doesn’t support Google Voice, so it would just be what’s listed in the “Changes:” section underneath, for example enabling the ssh server. The naf firmware for the OBi100/OBi110 doesn’t work with GV either, though it used to before Google made changes around 2018.

Looking at the change logs from the other firmwares I think d230 has not been updated with these changes:

patch OBiapp to bypass GVSIP provisioning lock
patch OBiapp to fix the bug where OBi forgot to set the TLS SNI hostname resulting in “No Response From Server” when attempting to connect to GV
NEW: add GV config instructions to webgui
NEW: make full root Certificate Authority list user-editable at /scratch/rootca.pem (by default symlinked to 2024-11-26 mozilla/curl root CA list from curl.se/ca/cacert-2024-11-26.pem)

I tried copying the ITSP Profile A settings as best I could from a working OBI300 but I was unable to get it to work with a status of: ‘Register Failed: 400 Bad Request’.

I know this thread is getting a bit old, but did anyone happen to get this phone working with Google Voice?

No. I ended up doing, gv->obi300->freepbx->d230.

Now I wonder if the new AI tools can reverse engineer this for us.
