My wife is always very aggressive about protecting her purse in restaurants, and if she gets up for any reason, she has ME aggressively guard it.
Hah, that made me wonder if you’d ever been to Rome, Italy or Rio de Janeiro, Brazil? I’ve witnessed purse snatchers rip purses off the arms of women in both cities, multiple times. In Rio I watched a dude hop off a scooter as a woman got on a bus, rip the purse off her arm and she fell back hard, and he was gone with the purse in seconds… and nobody did anything to stop him, just helped her get up.
I’m on the fence with this topic since we can’t see the video of what happened and it sounds a bit crazy, she had her purse tucked away under the table beside her feet while this guy went under the table to steal it while a Secret Service detail was around her…!? That and from the sounds of things there was a lot of activity around her with kids.
But seriously, how does a thief go under your table while two Secret Service personnel are right there?
